Debbie Goldman Wins OAH Award

History Alum Wins Book Award

Department of History Alum Debbie J. Goldman (PhD Advisor Julie Greene) has won the David Montgomery Award from the Organization of American Historians and the Labor and Working Class History Association for the Best Book in Labor History published in 2024. The book, Disconnected: Call Center Workers Fight for Good Jobs in the Digital Age, published by University of Illinois Press, explores "explores how call center employees and their union fought for good, humane jobs in the face of degraded working conditions and lowered wages."
